Mrs. Michelle Chong
Founder & Board ChairmanMichelle Chong is the CEO of Honey Bun Limited, which was founded with her husband Herbert in 1982.
Michelle is the past president of the Jamaica Exporters Association, now merged with the Jamaica Manufacturers Association. It was during her tenure that her passion to support SMEs flourished. She also believes in the Creative Industry and the potential that it presents for Brand Jamaica.
Her passion to contribute to the growth of Jamaica led to her establishing The Honey Bun Foundation in July 2019.
Mrs. Nashauna Lalah
General ManagerNashauna Lalah has been actively involved in volunteer work both locally and internationally for more than 20 years. As a member of the Geneva, Switzerland-based World Council of the Young Women’s Christian Association, she has travelled extensively promoting the economic and social empowerment of young women and their families across the world.
As the sole Caribbean representative on the Council for four years, she advocated for the improvement of living conditions of women in Jamaica and the region as she attended and presented at international NGO conferences and forums in Europe, Africa, South and Central America.
Nashauna is an accomplished communications manager with over 16 years of experience working in media. She was previously the Lifestyle Editor at The Gleaner Company (Media) Limited – the youngest person to have been appointed to that position. She had under her portfolio, the popular Outlook Magazine; Flair Magazine; TODAY; Something Extra; and the Food section. She was the Entertainment Editor responsible for the daily entertainment offering of The Gleaner and The Star before joining the Honey Bun family in July 2019. As General Manager of The Honey Bun Foundation, she will apply her expertise and passion for service to uplift SMEs and the Creative Industry in Jamaica.
